Salesforce Day 13

Standard vs. Custom Objects

Standard Objects are all included with Salesforce. This includes opportunities, leads, contacts, and accounts.

Custom Objects are specific to one’s business. An example might be an object for Feedback/Coaching within the org, or a Property object that stores information on selling homes for a real estate business.

Creating Custom Objects

In today’s session, I began to create an example custom object, which is listed under the “Build” section on the left of the Setup screen.

Update on my PDP
I’m fallible and missed some days of my PDP, and I feel disappointed. But, it’s never too late to get back on track.

I’m seeing the nuts and bolts of this course slowly meld together. I am taking “faith” that down the line, some epiphanies will arise for me. Right now, I’m gathering data and grammar of the platform.
