Intelligence – in its fullest sense – is striking the root.
One can be intelligent in a specialized area or areas, and never strike the root, thus never moving beyond a B+ baseline intelligence.
Many working class people are more intelligent than professors.
Because maybe they work with their hands, and understand cause and effect.
They understand fundamentals.
Many “intellectuals” skip fundamentals (most philosophy professors).
Fundamentals means:
– Questioning everything with abandon
– Checking premises
– Self-awareness
That last point is underrated. If one is not pursuing personal growth, one is not fully curious.
Curiosity is the first step to intelligence.
