Authenticity is saying yes or no when you truly wish to say yes or no.
It’s teaming with the child self, the True Self, to say what you actually think, to assert what you actually want, to express what you actually feel.
It’s removing the layers of conditioning that tell us to:
suppress
pretend
go along
think of others first
sacrifice
avoid honesty
avoid vulnerability
avoid intimacy
This conditioning taught us that such authenticity would risk acceptance from the others.
“You will be loved as long as you….”
But the truth is each of us is already worthy of acceptance.
Authenticity is transcending the conditioning.
