Perfect Imperfection

What if you didn’t have to be perfect?  Maybe you can’t do everything, you can’t excel at everything, and you can’t prepare for everything.

What if you strived for your best, without being perfect?  Perhaps you could still meet your need for productivity, but also peace and ease.

Recognize that you are not a perfectionist, but a part of you is a perfectionist.  This part has the best of intentions, but it could be taking over your brain’s headquarters, and sacrificing psychological harmony in the process.

Achievement facilitates fulfillment.  When it’s all said and done, however, is achievement more important than psychological harmony?

Perhaps true perfection is recognizing and allowing yourself to be imperfect, remembering that by simply breathing air right now, you are worthy and valuable.

You don’t need to prove it.
