The Karate Chop of Life

There’s a reason a 5 year-old kid performing karate can break a wood panel with her bare hand.

Compact concentration of energy.

She’s not superhumanly strong.  Through mastery of skill, she creates a leverage and a focus to achieve superior results.

You can apply this to your productivity – how much do you experience deep, undistracted, highly engaged focus while you work?  Are you working mildly for 8 hours or deeply for 4?

And you can apply it to your life.  You can concentrate your energy towards understanding yourself, your past adversity, and your future desires.  You can focus awareness towards your weaknesses, and commit to improve yourself.  You can relentlessly honor your self, and actively befriend yourself.

Or you can sort of do it, and hope you generally, eventually develop self-knowledge.

Live as well as you dare.

Just don’t deny your personal power quotient.

Cheers,
Joel
