Earlier in my life, in my 20’s, I was heavy on theory. I read books and I played with ideas. But it was in my head more.
Now, in my 30’s, I’m applying more than I take in or philosophize. The ratio is probably flipped, three-fold.
When you apply ideas, it gets messy. The theory doesn’t pan out how you expect, given the nuanced cracks of reality.
But it’s a much better place to be in.
Think clearly, and sharpen your sword. Yet never forget to slash and thrash.
