Astound Yourself

If we did all the things we are capable of, we would literally astound ourselves.
– Thomas A. Edison

You can complain about legislation x and politician y, or you can empower yourself within your sphere of control.

You can argue with people on Twitter, or you can listen to a podcast to improve your life.

You can bask in the sadness of the atrocities in the world, or you can practice empathy with your kids.

You can protest over the crappy service of taxis, or you can create Uber.

You can try and save money, or you can brainstorm new ways to make money.

You can watch the news for an hour, or you can journal for an hour.

You can be appalled by others’ viewpoints, or you can try and understand why they would think that way.

You can get angry at yourself, or you can practice unconditional self-love.

You can force yourself to workout, or you can do what you love (6′).

You can try and revoke laws inhibiting your freedom, or you can let go of obligatory personal relationships inhibiting your freedom.

You can get mad at corporations for advertising, or you can refine your personal understanding of logical fallacies.

You can tell people how to live, or you can inspire people how to live.

How will you spend the 1440 minutes in your day?
